Rose of the Shires Run

For machines pre 1931

First introduced in 1996, the event is based at Stoke Bruerne, Northants and it takes its name from the County title.

The Canal Museum is used as the base and provides additional interest to both riders and non riders.

The run takes its rider through pleasant scenery including roads used for historic sprints and hill climbs. Of particular interest to Scott owners must be Newnam Hill, the scene of Alfred Scott's hill climb win in 1908. The route is approximately 70 miles including lunch and coffee stops. The event often has over 70 riders and is well supported from all over the country.
